International Students Programme Details

8.50-9.00am Prayer and Meditation
9.00-10.50am Morning Programme
10.50-11.10am Morning Tea
11.10-12.30pm Morning Programme
12.30-1.30pm Lunch
1.30-2.50pm Afternoon Programme
Students are assessed on entry to St Mark’s School using a variety of assessment tools. They are then grouped according to their ability and needs to ensure their programme and their progress is meaningful. An ongoing assessment programme will be maintained, to closely monitor individual achievement and progress.
Transition Programme
Patents/whanau & student will be shown around the school by the Secretary or Principal. The student will be buddied with students from their class. Students will receive ESOL – English Language tuition in a 1:1 or small group situation to build their vocabulary and knowledge of New Zealand.
Mainstream Programme
This programme is a fully integrated programme in a mainstreamed New Zealand educational setting, covering all aspects on the New Zealand Government Curriculum.
